Seminar on Drugs Abuse Awareness and Prevention at Froebels International school, F-7 Campus, Islamabad

The Ministry of Narcotics Control (MNC) in collaboration with the Froebel’s International school F-7 Campus Islamabad organized a Seminar on Drugs Abuse Awareness and Prevention with the students of O/A level of Froebel’s International school on 14th September 2018. The MNC has been working in close collaboration with all educational and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for effective campaign against hazards of drug abuse. The principal of the Frobel’s International School welcomed the Ministry of Narcotics Control’s participation intheir ongoing event ‘the Red Ribbon Week’. Mr. Akbar Ghani Khan Khattak, Section Officer, was Guest Speaker on drugs abuse awareness and prevention. He talked about harms of drugs and shared as to how the students could stay away from the menace of the drugs. He further highlighted the common reasons of drug abuse in teens include curiosity, peer pressure, stress, emotional struggles and a desire to escape. The studentsof the Frobel’s International school appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Narcotics Control and pledged to adopt healthy activities in their daily lives. The Session was followed by the Q&A Session and ended with exchange of souvenirs among the panelists.
